What does your business do? What services do you provide?

Astral Marketing is the smart alternative to hiring an in-house digital marketer. Our services include social media marketing, web design and SEO (Search Engine Optimisation – which increases your ranking in Google, placing you higher up in the search results).


Where is Astral Marketing based?

Astral Marketing is a Digital Marketing Agency based in sunny South Africa. Astral Marketing started as a small Digital Marketing Agency in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa and has grown from strength to strength to being operational all over the beautiful country of South Africa. We expect to be growing globally for many years to come.

How long will it take to design and build a website?

The time that it will take for us to design your website and deliver the completed product to you, depends on the size and complexity of the site. While simple marketing websites are fairly quick to produce (two to three weeks), larger, more complex websites, such as eCommerce websites will take longer. Rigorous website testing, especially in the case of eCommerce websites, is vital and this testing can take a few days when it comes to more complex websites. When we supply you with our quotation, we will also provide you with a rough time frame for completion.


Who writes the content for the site?

We usually leave that job up to you. We are web experts but you are the expert of your own business, so it’s usually best if it comes from you. If you need help, we have a copywriter on our team who can help clean up your submitted writing or write original content for you at an additional cost.


Do you offer website hosting and domains?

We do offer hosting here at Astral Marketing. We also offer free domain names as long as you choose to host with us. We offer domains that include .com,, .org, .info, as well as many others. To host with us, we require a monthly fee of R250. This also includes maintenance, which allows us to fix any issues should your site run into problems. 


Why is a mobile friendly, or responsive website important to have?

Today, more and more web searches are done on a mobile device and so having a mobile friendly website is crucial. Traditional websites do not scale down to fit the smaller screen size of a mobile device which makes text difficult to read, while buttons and links tend to be difficult to locate and use. A mobile friendly website can avoid all these problems while delivering a pleasant experience to the mobile user.


How often should my website be updated?

Existing and prospective customers love to see new content so you will need to establish what frequency will be best for you. Updating your website regularly benefits your SEO (search engine optimisation) and the experience your customers will have when visiting your website. It also ensures that your website is up to date with the latest security measures to protect both you and your clients. Can I update the website on my own?

What social platforms should my business use?

The short answer: it depends. While Facebook is great as a starting point, we like to get to know each client on an individual basis to cater to their needs. Because every brand is unique, deciding which platform(s) to spend time on relies on many factors like who your audience is, what products and/or services your business provides and the goals you wish to achieve.


How often should my business post content?

On most platforms, it’s best to post at least twice a week, but some social media outlets are an exception. Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram can be more frequent if your team has the time and the content to post. We suggest that you post on Twitter daily, whether it’s socializing a blog, office event or relevant curated content. Another great way to stay top-of-mind is utilizing Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram Stories.
